Terms of service

Effective October 2, 2026

The short version

  • Applying gets you into a vetted pool — it doesn’t guarantee any campaign.
  • What a brand owns depends on the campaign shape: their own clips, a creator’s post staying up, or a campaign account they own outright.
  • Brands pay per campaign; Reyn takes 10% from the creator’s side and creators keep 90%. Nothing is paid out until the brand approves the video.
  • Don’t misrepresent who you are, fake engagement, or use Reyn to break the law.
  • Either side can leave, and we can suspend an account that breaks these terms.

That summary is here to be read. The sections below are the terms, and this page is a plain-language draft rather than a substitute for legal advice.

1 Who we are

Reyn (“Reyn”, “we”, “us”) runs a vetted pool of creators that brands hire for short paid video campaigns. The service is operated by 1001759066 Ontario Inc., 2A Church St, Toronto, ON M5E 0E1, Canada. By creating an account, applying as a creator, or using reynhq.com in any other way, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.

Our privacy policy covers what we collect and why; these terms cover the rules for using Reyn and, for brands and creators, the terms of a campaign itself.

2 Accounts

You need an account to manage a portfolio, apply to campaigns, or run one as a brand. You’re responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself and tell us at team@reynhq.com if you think someone else has access to it. Reyn is for people 18 and over.

The information you give us when you apply or sign up has to be accurate. If it isn’t — a fake identity, a follower count that isn’t yours, a video that isn’t actually you on camera — we can remove you from the pool or close the account.

3 Acceptable use

You may not, on or through Reyn:

  • Misrepresent who you are, who you work for, or what a video’s real performance was.
  • Buy followers, views, likes or comments, or otherwise fake the numbers we or a brand rely on.
  • Contact a creator or brand you met through Reyn to route a deal around Reyn’s fee, once that deal originated on Reyn.
  • Upload content you don’t have the rights to, or that infringes someone else’s.
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against another creator, brand, or our team.
  • Use the service to break the law, including advertising rules that apply to the product in a brief.
  • Attempt to access another account, or to interfere with how the site runs.

Breaking any of these is grounds for removing content, rejecting an application, or ending an account under section 8.

4 Applying, vetting, and campaigns

Applying as a creator gets your application reviewed — a person watches your sample and decides whether you join the pool. It is not an offer of work, an income guarantee, or a promise that any campaign will come your way. Once you’re in the pool, campaigns are posted and creators apply to the ones they want; a brand accepts or rejects each applicant. Nothing is assigned, and being in the pool never obligates you to apply to anything or a brand to pick you.

For brands, sending us a campaign gets it reviewed for fit — we can decline a campaign for a product or brief we won’t run. Funding a campaign does not guarantee a specific number of applicants or a specific creator; it guarantees the process in section 6 of the pricing page.

5 Who owns what you shoot

Usage rights follow the campaign shape agreed before anyone shoots, not a time-based licence that expires. There are three shapes, matching the pricing page:

Brand account
You own the videos outright — organic and paid, on your product pages, for as long as you like. There is no clock on this licence.
Creator account
The post stays up on the creator's own account. You may reshare it on your own channels and link to it, but you don't own the underlying file.
Campaign account
One brand per account, ever. You own the handle and everything posted to it. The creator runs the account for the campaign, then hands it over or it's archived.

Anything beyond what’s included above — whitelisting, exclusivity, raw footage, extra revision rounds, or a rush turnaround — is an extra, quoted and agreed before anyone shoots, never assumed:

Whitelisting
Running ads from the creator's own handle rather than yours, sold in 30, 60 or 90-day windows.
Exclusivity
The creator agrees not to shoot for a direct competitor for an agreed period.
Raw footage
The unedited takes alongside the finished cut.
Extra revision rounds
One round per video is included in the campaign price. Further rounds are agreed with the creator up front.
Rush turnaround
A shorter deadline than the brief would normally allow.

Whatever a creator retains under their shape, they keep the right to include the work in their own portfolio and reel unless a brand specifically pays for exclusivity under the extras above.

6 Payments and fees

Brands pay per campaign, not per video, CPM, or milestone — one price for however many videos the campaign ends up needing, from a $300 minimum. Reyn’s only fee is 10% of what the brand pays creators, taken from the creator’s side: brands pay nothing on top of the campaign total, and creators keep 90% of it. Both sides see the same numbers.

Money moves brand → Reyn → creator. A campaign is funded up front by invoice and held by Reyn; creators are paid out per video once the brand approves it. This is a manual process today, not an automated escrow or checkout — nothing here should be read as claiming a payment system that doesn’t exist yet.

Card processing costs (currently around 2.9% + 30¢ of the gross, depending on the processor) are covered by Reyn out of its 10% today; this is unsettled for the longer term and may change. We’ll update this page and the pricing page together if it does, not one without the other.

Referrals

Every creator on Reyn gets a personal referral link. Someone who joins Reyn within 30 days of opening it is credited to you, once and for good, if they are new to Reyn: we didn’t already have their email before they opened your link, and no one else referred them first. You can’t refer yourself or another account of yours.

For the first 3 months from their first paid work on Reyn, you earn 5% of what brands pay for their work on campaigns on Reyn, never more than Reyn’s own fee on that work. Reyn pays it out of its fee: the referred creator’s pay doesn’t change, and brands pay nothing extra. Nothing is earned for a sign-up alone, only for work a brand has approved and paid for.

Rewards are paid monthly, in the currency the work was paid in, to the payout details in your Reyn account, once what you’re owed reaches 20 in that currency; smaller amounts carry over to the next month. You need a Reyn account and payout details to be paid. If your account is in another currency, the conversion is on your side, as it is for campaign pay.

Share your link honestly. Don’t promise anyone a campaign or an amount: brands decide who they accept. We may void a referral, and any rewards on it not yet paid, for abuse, such as fake or duplicate accounts, referring yourself, shared payout details, spam, or misleading people about Reyn. We may change these referral terms; a change applies to referrals made after it, and a referral keeps the terms it was made under.

7 Refunds and cancellations

Payment is gated on delivery, so there is nothing to cancel in the usual sense. A brand pays after a campaign delivers and the brand has approved the work — not before — so a campaign that never delivers is never charged, and a brand that walks away before delivery owes nothing.

Once a campaign has delivered and been paid, that payment is final. We don’t refund delivered work, because the creator has already been paid for it and the brand already holds the files and the rights that came with them. The place to raise a problem is before you approve a cut, not after — no creator is paid until the brand approves their video, so an unapproved video is never paid out either way.

8 Ending an account

You can close your account at any time by emailing team@reynhq.com. Closing a creator account takes your portfolio down; closing a brand account doesn’t cancel a campaign that’s already funded and in progress — that runs to completion under section 6 and 7 above.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks section 3, gives us false information under section 2, or where we reasonably believe continuing to work with that account puts creators, brands, or Reyn at risk. Where it’s practical, we’ll tell you why. A campaign already funded and not yet in breach of these terms is completed or refunded consistent with section 7, not simply cancelled.

9 Liability and governing law

Reyn vets creators for camera presence and delivery, not for every possible outcome of a campaign — we don’t guarantee a video’s performance, a brief’s results, or that a particular creator is right for your product. The service is provided as-is, without warranties beyond what the law requires and can’t be waived.

To the extent the law allows it, Reyn isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us (or, for a creator, the fee we took) in the campaign the claim relates to.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about them or about Reyn goes to the courts in Toronto, Ontario. If the law where you live gives you rights that an agreement can’t take away, including the right to bring a claim in your own courts, nothing here removes them.

10 Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the effective date at the top changes with it. For a change that materially affects an in-progress campaign, we’ll tell the brand and creator on that campaign directly rather than only updating this page.
