1 Who we are
Reyn (“Reyn”, “we”, “us”) matches creators with paid brand briefs and hosts the portfolio pages those creators build. The service is operated by 1001759066 Ontario Inc., 2A Church St, Toronto, ON M5E 0E1, Canada. You can reach us any time at team@reynhq.com.
This policy covers reynhq.com and the creator portfolio pages we host on it. It does not cover the brands you work with, your own social media accounts, or any other site we link to — those have their own policies. Our terms of service cover the rules for using Reyn and the terms of a campaign itself.
2 What we collect
When you apply as a creator
Your name, email and phone number, with its country code, are required. Everything else on the form is optional, and we only hold what you actually fill in: your country, what you do, your gender, your Instagram, TikTok and YouTube usernames, links to work you’ve done, the view range your posts typically get, your experience with brand work, and up to two photo or video samples you upload. We also record whether you ticked the box asking us to text you.
Gender is optional and is used for one thing: some briefs are cast for a specific audience. Leaving it blank does not remove you from consideration for any other brief.
When you build or claim a portfolio
Your display name and handle, and whatever else you add: a tagline, a bio, a category, a profile photo, your social accounts, the follower and view figures you enter or ask us to pull from your public profiles, the photos, videos and post links you put on the page, and your phone number and texting preference if you set one.
When you create an account
Your email address and a password. Accounts are handled by our authentication provider, which stores passwords hashed — we never see or store your password in a form anyone could read. Signing in sets a session cookie so you stay signed in.
When you contact us as a brand
Your name, email, company and message. Alongside it we store a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser’s user agent string — enough to spot a flood of spam, not enough to identify you.
When you contact a creator through their portfolio
Your name, email, company and message, plus the same hashed IP address. That message goes to the creator whose page you contacted, and it appears in their inbox. If they’ve opted into texts, we send them a text saying who asked for them, which includes your name and company.
Automatically, as you browse
- A cookie called
reyn_vsid: a random ID with no name attached, set for a year. It lets us count a portfolio’s viewers once each rather than once per page load, and enforce the view cap on private preview links. - Page views, preview views, and clicks on a portfolio’s contact button, recorded against that random ID.
- Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider, which include IP addresses.
We do not run advertising trackers, ad pixels, or cross-site tracking of any kind.
3 Why we use it
- To review your application and match you to briefs that fit.
- To put creators forward to brands, and to introduce the two of you.
- To build and host your portfolio page.
- To email you about your application, your account, and briefs — and to reply when you write to us.
- To text you, if and only if you asked us to.
- To keep the site working and to stop abuse: rate limits, spam traps, and the hashed IP addresses that make both possible.
- To see which parts of the site get used, in aggregate.
We rely on your consent: you gave us this information to be considered for brand work, and you can withdraw it at any time. Nothing here is decided by an automated system — a person decides who gets matched to a brief.
4 Text messages
Texting is off unless you turn it on, either by ticking the box on the application form or by switching it on in your dashboard settings.
- What we send: a text when a brand requests you by name or a deal needs your attention, and occasional messages about your account. We do not send marketing blasts.
- How often: it depends on your activity — there is no fixed schedule.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your plan.
- Stopping: reply STOP to any message, or turn texts off in your dashboard settings. Reply HELP for help, or email us.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell or share your phone number, or your consent to be texted, with third parties for their own marketing. Your number goes to our messaging provider for the single purpose of delivering the message you asked for.
5 Cookies
We use two, both necessary for the site to work: the reyn_vsid visitor ID described above, and the session cookies that keep you signed in to your account. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies to opt out of, because we don’t set any.
6 Who we share it with
Service providers. We use a small number of companies to run the service. Each gets only what it needs to do its job, and none may use your information for their own purposes.
- Vercel
- Hosts the site and keeps standard server logs (IP address, request, timestamp).
- Supabase
- Stores the database, account credentials, and any photos or videos you upload.
- Resend
- Sends our email — your welcome and claim link, password resets, and the notification when someone contacts you.
- Twilio
- Delivers text messages, and only to numbers that opted in.
- PostHog
- Product analytics, keyed to the random visitor ID rather than to your name or email.
- CreatorCrawl
- Looks up the public follower and view counts for the social handles you list, so you don't have to type them in.
Brands. When we put you forward for a brief, the brand sees your portfolio: your name or handle, your social accounts, the samples and stats on your page. Your contact details are passed on only when a deal is actually going ahead.
Anyone, if your page is published. A published portfolio is a public web page and search engines can index it. A draft is not public. A preview link is unlisted, expires, and stops working after a set number of viewers.
When the law requires it, or where we need to protect the rights and safety of creators, brands, or Reyn.
If Reyn is sold or merges with another company, information may transfer as part of that. This policy travels with it until it is replaced by one you’re told about.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
7 Where it’s stored
The providers listed above store and process data on servers that may be outside the country you live in, including in the United States. Applying from anywhere in the world is fine, and it means your information crosses a border to reach us.
8 How long we keep it
- Your application: for as long as we’re considering you and for as long as you’re an active creator with us. Ask us to delete it and we will.
- The draft portfolio we start from your application: kept with the application, so the link in your welcome email keeps working until you claim the page or ask us to delete it.
- An unclaimed draft you started yourself (from the build-a-page flow, without applying): deleted automatically 30 days after it was created, along with anything uploaded to it. Claim it and it stays.
- Preview links: they expire, and they stop working once the page is published.
- Messages sent to us or to a creator’s inbox: kept as a record of the conversation until you ask us to remove them.
- Usage events tied to the random visitor ID: kept to understand trends over time.
Backups may hold copies for a short period after something is deleted from the live service.
9 How we protect it
Everything travels over HTTPS. Our database tables deny access by default and are reachable only by our own server code, not by anything running in your browser. IP addresses are stored hashed rather than in the clear, preview links are stored as hashes so the raw link exists only in the link itself, and administrative pages sit behind a separate login.
No system is perfectly secure. Please don’t send government ID, financial account details, or health information through our forms — we don’t ask for any of it and don’t want it.
10 Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of what we hold, to correct it, to delete it, to withdraw a consent you gave, and to complain to your local privacy regulator. We extend the first four to everyone who asks, wherever they are.
- Email team@reynhq.com from the address you signed up with and we’ll respond within 30 days.
- If you have an account, you can edit most of what we hold yourself, in your dashboard.
- The email we send is about your application and your account, not marketing. Ask us to stop emailing you and we will. Texts stop on STOP.
- Deleting your account deletes your portfolio and the files you uploaded to it.
We will never treat you differently for exercising any of this.
11 Children
Reyn is for adults. It isn’t directed at anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a minor has sent us something, write to us and we’ll delete it.
12 Changes to this policy
When this changes, the effective date at the top changes with it. If a change materially affects what we do with your information, we’ll tell you by email or with a notice on the site rather than quietly editing the page.
