Most days, work happens from home, which means I get to be close to my boys while doing a job I genuinely love. A few times a year, though, I pack a bag and get to be in the room with my team for retreats, events, learning, and all the things that just feel different when you’re together in person. And I’m really grateful I can do both. I get to be a mom AND have work that challenges me, lets me keep pursuing my passion for education, and helps me provide for my family. None of it happens because I “do it all.” It happens because I have a village at home that makes it possible for me to leave knowing my boys are happy, loved, and cared for. Midlife motherhood has taught me that a full life doesn’t have to fit into just one box. I can miss my babies like crazy AND love what I get to do when I’m away. Both can be true. ❤️
